Who operates this service
New York City Chauffeur Service is a pre-booked chauffeur company serving New York City and New Jersey. We have operated since March 2024 as a direct operator rather than a booking platform: when you call, you reach the people who dispatch the vehicles, not a call centre placing your job into a network of subcontractors.
Every trip is a reservation. A specific vehicle and an assigned chauffeur, at a specific time, at a rate agreed in writing before you travel. We do not take street pickups and we do not operate a walk-in office — bookings are handled by phone, by email or through the quote form.
We work both sides of the Hudson, which is less common than it sounds. Most operators here are either a New York company that treats New Jersey as an airport run, or a New Jersey company that treats Manhattan as a drop-off. A booking that starts in one state and finishes in the other is one reservation with us, not a handoff between two companies. New York City Chauffeur Service operates as a brand of Royal Premier Car Service, the licensed company that holds the chauffeur licensing, commercial registration and insurance described below, and the entity your booking and invoice are with.
What that changes in practice
The person who answers can actually fix it
If a flight moves or a pickup needs to shift by an hour, the person on the phone can change the booking rather than logging a request for someone else to action.
The rate you are quoted is the rate
Quotes are flat and confirmed in writing before you book. There is no surge, no multiplier and no recalculation after the trip. Tolls and parking are the only additions, and they are stated up front.
The same chauffeurs, repeatedly
On accounts and repeat bookings we assign the same chauffeurs to the same passengers where scheduling allows, which is not something a dispatch algorithm can offer.
One company across two states
A booking that starts in New Jersey and finishes in New York is one reservation with one operator, rather than a handoff between two.
Licensing and insurance
Operating a car service legally in New Jersey requires more than a vehicle and a driver. Commercial passenger transport is regulated by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, and operators are required to hold appropriate chauffeur licensing, commercial vehicle registration, commercial insurance and a municipal licence to operate.
We meet those requirements and can supply documentation on request. Corporate clients and procurement teams who need proof of licensing and insurance for vendor onboarding should ask and we will provide it. Our chauffeurs are licensed, background-checked, and our vehicles are inspected on a routine schedule.

How we work
Booked ahead, not hailed
Every trip is a reservation. We do not do street pickups or on-demand dispatch, which is what allows a vehicle to be confirmed for a specific time.
Answered around the clock
Reservations and dispatch are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Flight-tracked airport bookings
Airport pickups are timed against the actual aircraft rather than the schedule you booked from.

You get the rate before you commit, not an estimate that resolves after the trip.
