Wedding transport is an hourly booking, not a transfer
The single most common mistake in wedding transport is booking it as a series of point to point trips. Weddings do not run to the minute. Photographs overrun, a family member is late, the ceremony starts fifteen minutes behind, and a car booked for one drop-off has already left by the time it is actually needed.
Booking by the hour solves that. The vehicle and chauffeur are held for the block of time you reserve, so a delay changes the order of the day rather than breaking the arrangement. It is the reason we quote weddings hourly by default, and it is worth booking the longer block rather than the tighter one.

Bridesmaids, groomsmen and immediate family moved together in a Sprinter rather than in a convoy of personal cars.

A scheduled last run back to the hotel, which is the leg couples most often forget to book.
Airport arrivals for out-of-town guests
Guests flying in for the weekend, collected on arrival with flight tracking.
If guests are flying in, tell us the airports and the arrival days when you book, and those pickups are quoted alongside the wedding day itself.

Vehicles and minimums
Wedding bookings are hourly and subject to the same minimums as our other hourly service:
Sedan — 3 hour minimum
The couple, or two to three family members, with room for a dress bag.
SUV — 3 hour minimum
More room for passengers, dresses, suits and shoes than a sedan.
Sprinter — 5 hour minimum
The wedding party travelling together, or repeated guest shuttle runs.
If your day needs more than one vehicle at the same time, tell us the date as early as you can so dispatch can confirm what is available before you commit to a plan. Multiple vehicles on one wedding are quoted together.
How to build the booking
1. Start from the ceremony time, not the pickup time
Work backwards. Tell us when you need to be at the ceremony and where you are starting from, and we will set the pickup with time in hand rather than to the minute.
2. Count the legs, then add the one you forgot
Most couples remember the ceremony and the reception. The legs that get missed are photographs between the two, and the run back to the hotel at the end.
3. Decide what the wedding party needs separately
If the party is getting ready in a different place from the couple, that is a second vehicle, not a second stop.
4. Book the longer block
Extending an hourly booking on the day depends on whether the vehicle is committed afterwards. Booking the longer block up front removes that risk entirely.
Weddings between New Jersey and New York City
A large share of the weddings we cover are not entirely in one state. The couple is getting ready in New Jersey and the reception is in Manhattan or Brooklyn, or the venue is in New Jersey and the hotel block is in the city. Those days involve a river crossing during a fixed window, which is exactly the situation where an hourly booking with a chauffeur who knows the crossings is worth more than the cost difference.

Wedding transportation — questions
How far in advance should we book wedding transportation?
As early as you have the ceremony time and the venue. Saturday dates in the spring and autumn go first, and if your day needs more than one vehicle at once, early is the only way to confirm it.
Is wedding transport booked by the hour or per trip?
By the hour. The vehicle and chauffeur are held for the block you reserve, which is what allows the day to run late without breaking the booking.
What are the minimums?
Three hours for a sedan or SUV, five hours for a Sprinter.
Can one booking cover the couple and the wedding party?
Only if they are travelling together. If the party is getting ready somewhere else or needs to arrive separately, that is a second vehicle on the same quote.
Can you shuttle guests between the hotel and the venue?
Yes. Repeated runs between a hotel block and the venue are booked as an hourly Sprinter reservation across the evening.
Are tolls and parking included?
No. Tolls and parking charges are billed in addition to the hourly rate, which matters on wedding days because venue and Manhattan parking are often the larger of the two.
What is the cancellation policy?
Sedans and SUVs: full refund if cancelled 6 or more hours before pickup. Sprinter vans: full refund if cancelled 48 or more hours before pickup. Cancellations inside those windows are charged in full, unless caused by weather, a natural disaster or a state of emergency. A no-show — the passenger not present at the pickup location with no notice — is charged the full fare. Refunds process within 7 to 10 business days. Wedding parties booked in a Sprinter fall under the 48-hour window.
