A sedan, an SUV and a Sprinter van parked in a row

THE FLEET

Sedans, SUVs and Sprinter Vans

Three vehicle classes, with the passenger and luggage figures published for each — because the wrong-size vehicle is the one thing on a booking you cannot fix at the curb.

How to read the capacity figures

The numbers below are the maximum for passengers and the maximum for checked bags, and they are not both available at the same time. A full-size SUV takes six passengers, or five checked bags, but six passengers with five large cases is not one vehicle. Seats fold down to make luggage room, which is precisely why the two figures trade against each other.

So count both before you choose. If you are within one of either limit, book the next class up. It is a smaller difference in cost than most people assume, and it is the only variable on a transfer that cannot be solved once the vehicle has arrived.

Vehicle classes

  • Executive Sedan

    Passengers
    up to 3
    Checked bags
    up to 2
    Hourly minimum
    3 hours

    Best for

One or two travellers, airport runs, business days and evenings out.

The default choice for a single traveller or a couple. Comfortable for three at a push, but three passengers and three suitcases is an SUV.

Vehicles in this class include: Cadillac XTS · Cadillac CT6 · Lincoln Continental · Volvo S90

  • Full-Size SUV

    Passengers
    up to 6
    Checked bags
    up to 5
    Hourly minimum
    3 hours

    Best for

Families, small groups, cruise luggage and anyone who would be tight in a sedan.

The most requested class, because it solves the luggage problem without stepping up to a Sprinter. Same three hour minimum as a sedan on hourly bookings.

Vehicles in this class include: Chevrolet Suburban · GMC Yukon Denali · Cadillac Escalade · Cadillac XT6 · Lincoln Aviator

  • Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

    Passengers
    up to 14
    Checked bags
    up to 10
    Hourly minimum
    5 hours

    Best for

Wedding parties, corporate offsites, group nights out and families travelling together.

One vehicle instead of three cars. Hourly Sprinter bookings carry a five hour minimum.

Vehicles in this class include: Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

We confirm the vehicle class, not a specific model. Which vehicle within a class is assigned depends on what is available on your date, and every vehicle in a class meets the same capacity and standard.

The vehicles

No payment required to get a price

In every vehicle

  • A professional chauffeur

Suited, briefed on your booking, and there to help with doors and luggage rather than to be spoken to through an app.

  • Bottled water

In the vehicle, on every booking.

  • Flight tracking on airport bookings

Pickup times follow the aircraft rather than the schedule you booked weeks earlier.

  • Luggage assistance

Including help loading and unloading a folding wheelchair or mobility aid, which fits in the luggage space of every class above.

  • Climate control set before you get in

A small thing that is noticeable in August and in January.

Child seats and accessibility

  • Child seats

Request child seats when you book and tell us the ages, so the right type is fitted rather than the nearest one available. A small additional fee may apply. Please do not assume a seat can be added on the day — it has to be fitted before the vehicle leaves.

  • Folding wheelchairs and mobility aids

Folding wheelchairs and mobility aids are accommodated in the standard fleet and fit in the luggage area, and your chauffeur will help load and unload them. Tell us when you book so the vehicle is assigned with the luggage space reserved for it.

Choosing between classes

  • Two people, two cases, airport run

Sedan. This is the booking a sedan exists for.

  • Family of four with holiday luggage

SUV. Four people and four large cases is over a sedan's limit on both counts.

  • Two people coming off a seven-night cruise

SUV. Cruise luggage is the single most common reason a sedan turns out to be too small.

  • Anything over six people, or over five cases

Sprinter, or two vehicles quoted together. Tell us the head count and the case count and we will confirm which.

Fleet — questions

How many passengers fit in each vehicle?

Up to 3 in an executive sedan, up to 6 in a full-size SUV, and up to 14 in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

How much luggage fits?

Up to 2 checked bags in a sedan, up to 5 in a full-size SUV, and up to 10 in a Sprinter. Those figures and the passenger figures are separate maximums, not both at once.

Can I request a specific make or model?

You can tell us your preference and we will note it, but we confirm the vehicle class rather than a specific model, because assignment depends on availability on your date.

Are child seats available?

Yes, on request at the time of booking. Tell us the ages so the correct type is fitted. A small additional fee may apply.

Can you accommodate a folding wheelchair or mobility aid?

Yes. They fit in the luggage space of our standard vehicles and your chauffeur will help load and unload them. Mention it when booking so luggage space is reserved.

What are the hourly minimums by vehicle?

Three hours for a sedan or an SUV, five hours for a Sprinter.
